A black and white impression from Athens.
The photo shows a view of the Hephaisteion (Temple of Hephaestus) from the 5th century BC, one of the best preserved Greek temples of antiquity.
Originally dedicated to the god of blacksmithing, the structure survived many centuries as a Christian church. Today the Hephaisteion is part of the archaeological site of the Agora of Athens and is a famous landmark of the Greek capital.
